Gender Inclusive Analysis Policy and Program Training
Gender inclusive analysis (GIA) is a method used to assess the impacts of policies, programs, and legislation on both women and men. GIA addresses gender differences, as well as those differences resulting from race, class, ability, age, and sexual orientation.
Twice a year, the Women’s Directorate hosts a one day workshop for Yukon Government personnel. The highly interactive workshop uses Yukon-based policy and program examples to explore how GIA can strengthen policies and programs. Participants explore GIA using relevant statistical and social policy resources. They use case studies and workshop discussions in applying a diversity lens to their work.
Contact PSC Staff Development Branch for more information.

Yukon College Women's Studies Program
The Women's Studies Program is a program of study that looks at the lives, contributions and experiences of women. It examines materials by and about women and places women's knowledge at the center of this process. The program cuts across a number of academic disciplines including history, literature, sociology, psychology, anthropology and social work. Students can work toward a certificate or diploma in the discipline, or take individual courses for personal interest. The program is open to both women and men.
