The focus of the Women’s Equality Fund is to assist Yukon organizations in their work towards women’s equality in the north.
The three-year (2007-2009) funding program supports direct services and programs for women; advances women's equality through research and policy development; supports education and social action on women's equality issues; and supports the development and capacity of women's organizations to effectively enhance women's equality.
Over $520,000 over three years was allocated to seven Yukon women’s and equality seeking groups in 2007.
