National Aboriginal Women's Summit

The National Aboriginal Women’s Summit, hosted by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC), with support from the Government of Canada, took place in Corner Brook, NL from June 20 to 22, 2007. The following themes were featured:

Theme 1: Health, Safety and Wellness
Theme 2: Equality and Empowerment
Theme 3: Strength, Balance and Honour

Yukon delegates included:

7. Shirlee Frost – Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation member
8. Barb Hume – Champagne/Aishihik First Nations member
9. Lucy Jackson – Teslin Tlingit Council member
10. Jessie Stephen –  White River First Nation member
11. Michelle Telep – Ta’an Kwach’an Council member
